From August 24 to 25 in Russia for the fourth time the large-scale action “Cinema Night” was held. It was attended by a variety of cultural institutions: cinemas and parks, philharmonic halls and estates, theaters and galleries – and even a planetarium. 594 organizers from 75 regions of the country presented 866 thematic events to Russian film fans: screenings of popular domestic films, lectures and excursions, master classes and open meetings.
The pictures that everyone could see during the "Night of Cinema", determined the popular vote, which took place on the website of the TASS Information Agency. This year, viewers watched The Balkan Frontier directed by Andrei Volgin, Domovoy Evgeny Bedarev and Policeman from Rublevka. New Year's lawlessness ”by Ilya Kulikov.
"Cinema Night" was held not only in cinemas, but also in unusual places. So, the Ufa city planetarium organized a session of the cult “Solaris” by Andrei Tarkovsky; The Perm Philharmonic organ concert hall gave a concert of music and songs from favorite domestic films; in the Vorontsovo estate near Moscow, children learned to create cartoons; The drama theater “On Liteiny” invited visitors to a nightly program devoted to everything mysterious and mysterious, while the city park of recreation and culture of Maykop supplemented the film screenings with intellectual and musical programs.
The main information partner of the action was the portal "Culture.RF". He prepared the official page of the action, on which he collected a complete poster of events in all participating cities, as well as a selection of interesting editorial materials about Russian cinema. Articles about how to remove cult films; Interviews with Karen Shakhnazarov, Svetlana Nemolyaeva, Yuri Norshtein, Maria Kozhevnikova and other actors and directors; collections of Soviet comedies, films for children, adaptations of Russian classics and much more.
During the "Cinema Night" "Culture.RF" invited users of the social network "VKontakte" to choose the best film of the last five years. The leaders of the survey were the paintings “Upward Movement” by Anton Megerdichev, “Legend No. 17” by Nikolai Lebedev and “The Fool” by Yuri Bykov.
The portal also throughout the campaign covered its events in different cities and posted on its social networks selections of the most striking photographs from cultural institutions. This evening, about 77,000 users visited the portal’s pages related to the “Movie Night”: the main page of the action, a poster, thematic collections of events and materials dedicated to the cinema.
