The rowing canal will change the usual geometry. A special arc structure will be erected above it, which will connect the two banks and will serve as a screen for displaying multimedia and lighting effects. More than 200 fountains and water fan screens will adorn the ensemble's composition.
During the five days of the festival, a light show dedicated to the Year of the Theater, a video mapping performance "Spartak" and the work of the finalists of the international competition "Art Vision" in the nomination "Classic" from five countries will be broadcast on Theater Square.
The Polytechnic Museum and Ostankino Park for the first time will join the festival and will welcome guests with architectural video mapping dedicated to scientific and technological progress, as well as 14 light and video projection installations.
The territory of the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve will be decorated in the form of a fabulous forest filled with the light of installations and landscape 3D representations. Victory Museum will show on the panoramic facade the premiere of the show "Space Odyssey."
The festival will also present an educational program. September 21 and 22 at the Digital October Center will host lectures and master classes from eminent world lighting designers.
Admission to all venues is free. Some events require prior registration.
The Circle of Light International Festival, held by the Moscow Department of Sports, was first held in Moscow in 2011 and showed more than 360 installations.
