The Traveling Festival "Man of the World", representing experiments in the field of art, opened in St. Petersburg with the musical and plastic performance "Symphony of the World" on August 3. After he will move to Moscow and Suzdal district of Vladimir region.
The first stage of the project took place in the Mikhailovsky Garden in front of the Russian Museum. Groups of musicians, artists, dancers and actors have created a three-hour performance “Peace Symphony”. The festival guests were presented with minimalist plays by contemporary composers – Steve Reich, Philip Glass, Pavel Karmanov and others.
The symphony of the world was attended by the famous violinist Asya Sorshneva, combining classical traditions with modern trends in her work, the ICQ-project ensemble, known for its non-trivial programs and a new look at the performance of academic music, as well as jazz musician Arkady Shilkloper, who holds the title of one of the best Alpine horn players and performers.
From St. Petersburg, the festival will go to Moscow, where on August 7 at the venue in front of the New Tretyakov Gallery there will be a performance promenade called “Cork of the World” with the participation of Soviet retro cars. After that, the participants will travel on the theater train "Composition of the World" to Suzdal, where they will complete the festival trip with the project "River of Peace".
