The complete collected works of Sergei Rachmaninov in 50 volumes will be released by the Russian Music Publishing House and the Russian National Museum of Music in 2023. The project will unite as much as possible the works of the Russian composer and is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of his birth.

“We have to work hard. By 2023, we hope to present all volumes of the piano series of the collection, as well as the release of the first editions of the Second and Third Piano Concertos, ”said Mikhail Bryzgalov, Director General of the Museum of Music.
Work on the collection started in 2002, since then 11 volumes have been published. Under the project, the museum provides the publishing house with stock materials related to the composer's work.
The scientific work involved not only experts from both organizations, but also leading experts on the work of Rachmaninov. The main part of the scientific work consists in the study and decoding of the composer's musical notes, the publication of the first editions of unpublished works during his lifetime.
The outstanding Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninov was born on March 20, 1873. Received a conservative education in St. Petersburg and Moscow. Since 1900, he has performed as a pianist and conductor in Russia and abroad. From 1918 until the last days he lived in the United States. Died March 28, 1943 in California.
