The festival of children's brass bands “Spasskaya Tower for children” will be held on Red Square from August 23 to 26. It will bring together Russian and foreign teams.
The Spasskaya Tower festival will be held as part of the International Military Music Festival and will unite 27 musical groups.
Among them are 13 orchestras from the Southern, Northwest, Northern and Volga districts, six from the Central Federal District and four from abroad: Belarus, Uzbekistan, Donetsk People's Republic and Israel.
Performances will take place on the stage of the Children's Town on Red Square. Also in the program is a viewing of children's honor guards from various regions of Russia, daily exhibitions, master classes, contests, relay races and games, which everyone can freely visit.
The Spasskaya Tower – for Children festival has been held since 2013 with the support of the Association of Wind and Percussion Performers and Wind Orchestras “Brass Society” named after Valery Khalilova with the goal of developing wind music in Russia, its popularization among children and youth, the revival of the youth movement.
